I’m sure at some point or another you’ve been to the local farm wonder that is Tanaka Farms. Right now, during this time when people may not be able to access farm fresh produce Tanaka Farm’s Helping Farms Feed Families program, together with Orange Coast Optimist’s Walk the Farm Volunteers, has been able to provide care packages for over 500 families.
While families and individuals are struggling financially to purchase produce, local farmers are also struggling for help on the farms and distribution of their harvests.
You can access a registration form here to choose a pick up time from their Irvine farm. Consider that you might not be the one in need but can offer to pick up for your elderly or immune compromised neighbor. Or maybe it’s just a matter of sharing this link with someone you know could use the package.
“If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord — and he will repay you!”
